Theresa’s Story

Who I Am & Where I’ve Been:

I am 40 years old and have three children. I have literally gone from one abuser to another my entire life… Since I was first married at 17. Even though I have a very good job I still struggle daily with the influence that my abuser has over the kids. He has manipulated them to the point that they are disrespectful and even abusive to me.

How Thrive Has Helped:

Although I have a good job and do not need financial assistance, Thrive has been able to provide me with so much more. Because of them I was able to move in to a new place that was closer to my children and start over. I value the support and understanding that I receive at Thrive and I believe that it is made it possible for me to go back to college and begin a journey to healing and discovering who I really am!
