Jessica’s Story

Who I Am & Where I’ve Been:

I am 40 years old and I have 4 children to 3 different abusers. I believe I deserve the abuse and continue to be drawn to men who will abuse me. I am quiet and shy and believe there is nothing better for me out there. I struggle to raise my four kids alone and think I need a man to complete me.

How Thrive Has Helped:

With the love and support of everyone at Thrive I was able to finally get out of the abuse and realize that I could do it on my own. And with their continued support for many long months and years, I was able to pick myself up and move on. My 4 children, and I now live in another state and I am happily married to an amazing man! And most importantly, I realize that my worth is not defined by any man!
