Who I Am & Where I’ve Been:

I am 33 years old. I am a mother of two children. My abuser convinced me that he would love me and protect me and our girls. I am from another country so I am not a citizen of the United States. My abuser used this as a way to control me, with the threat of being deported. I considered leaving many times, but didn’t believe I would ever be able to get away from him.

How Thrive Has Helped:

I am currently in prison awaiting trial… my abuser killed my mother and is blaming me as well. My children are in the foster care system and in October I will lose all rights to them even though I have never been convicted of anything. Through your support, Thrive has been able to continue to minister to me in many ways including visits, calls, and letters. And also advocating with my attorney and testifying on my behalf.
