Who I Am & Where I’ve Been:

I am a 50-year-old mother of three. I have experienced manipulation and control my entire life. My last husband was the worst abuser. Even after getting out of the abuse, he continues to harass and stalk my son and I. When he runs us off the road or follows us, he always uses a different car that is not his, so we can never really prove that it is him. He has never paid child support and does nothing but harass his son--he shows up at the school just so he can intimidate the boy. I have lost jobs because of his harassment. It feels like the police and courts are useless.

How Thrive Has Helped:

Thrive helped me at my lowest point when I left this horrible man and was homeless with my three children. They helped me move in into our first apartment and provided furniture. They have always been there, including accompanying me to court and helping me figure out ways to fight the injustice. Without their support, I would never have made it this far. From financial assistance, to support groups, to helping me provide gifts for my kids, to just meeting me one-on-one to listen. They are the only support system I have and I am forever grateful.
